- Stay Calm – take a deep breath and don’t panic. An accident doesn’t always result in a claim being made.
- Be safe – make sure you and any passengers are uninjured and moved away from the incident.

- Take notes – be sure to note down names, numbers, witnesses present, and registration plates.
- Take pictures – If it is safe to do so, take a picture of any damage to your vehicle, and any others involved, as evidence.
